Day 6 end

So, another update now that I am comfortably nestled on a comfy couch.  On day 5 we did the drive from Cincinnati to Saint Louis, a long dull drive through Indiana and Illinois.  the mid-west we're finding on average is really, really boring!

At the Indiana Welcome Center

We tried to stop in Illinois to see the world's largest golf tee and world's largest wind chime, but we couldn't find either of them and so Illinois ended up totally uneventful.

In the end though we made it to Saint Louis!!  Our night was very relaxed, we hung out with several friends, got introduced to Saint Louis style pizza and toasted ravioli (both delicious!)

Our sleeping arrangements that night got a little funky because the hotels near Littlecolt's house were almost totally booked!  We drove out of town for a bit and finally found a super sketchy Motel 6 to stay at.  All we needed though was a spot to sleep so it worked out fine and we hit the road early.

NOT at the Missouri Welcome Center because there WASN'T one!

Driving through Missouri was AWFUL!  There are no rest stops, the "welcome centers" are MILES off the highway and hard to find, and their local roads largely make no sense.  We hated Missouri, HATED it.  We did managed to stop at a crazy antique mall and see some weird things that we got pictures of though!

Eventually though we did make it to Oklahoma!  And along the way we hit the milestone of 2 thousand miles driven:

In the end we were treated to some tasty German food for dinner, played some Munchkin in good company, and now we're crashing out early for the long, long day tomorrow!
